Big Bedtime Prayer

Dear Jesus

I’m thinking about my day
While I’m in my cosy bed
Thanking you for keeping me
Warm and safe and fed

I’m thinking about myself
While I’m starting to unwind
Saying sorry for the things I’ve done
That were naughty or unkind

I’m thinking about my family
While I’m tucked up tight
Asking you to keep us safe
And help us sleep all night

I’m thinking about tomorrow
While my eyelids start to droop
Trusting you’ll be with me
In everything I do

I’m thinking about you
Now the day is nearly done
Praising you, amazing God,
Father, Spirit, Son.
